Last summer the European Commission proposed the Fit for 55 package that includes a raft of measures aimed at meeting the EU's ambitious 2030 climate change targets. Even at the best of times meeting these targets would not be easy. But with European governments now dealing with a military conflict in Eastern Europe, high energy prices, inflation, and energy security concerns, can the EU keep its climate ambitions on track?
